China’s Huawei Halts Russia Orders, Sends Staff Home: Forbes

The decision was taken because of fear of secondary sanctions from the US after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Forbes Russia said, citing Russian media.

China telecommunications equipment maker Huawei put part of its Russian workforce on vacation for a month after earlier suspending all orders in the country, Forbes Russia reported.

The decision was taken because of fear of secondary sanctions from the US following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the report said, citing Russian media. According to Izvestia, Huawei accounts for 30 to 40% of base stations installed in Russia. Full story: Forbes Russia.
